About Sara Vida Pilates

Helping women through their midlife years has become my mission in life!

My aim is to help women find themselves again through personalised pilates programmes offering tailored exercises plus techniques to help with menopausal symptoms.

I live in South-West London with two of my three children, my eldest having flown the nest for University. It was after the birth of my first child that I was first introduced to Pilates to help with lower back pain and various postnatally related issues. My body didn’t feel my own anymore but through a pilates program I quickly saw the effects that it had on my overall strength, my core, my pelvic control and was finally pain free.

I started my menopausal journey without really even realising it a few years ago and found myself facing issues such as joint aches, arthritic symptoms, reduced muscle strength, insomnia, weight gain, mood swings, utter brain fog and fatigue.

I thought I had early onset dementia and in all honesty I was scared! I had no idea what was happening to me and plagued with crippling anxiety and loss of confidence. I had days of just feeling so tired that even doing small things seemed like a mammoth effort.

This not only affected me but impacted my family, relationships and work too.

I felt really alone with it all as I just didn’t understand what was happening to me. And because I didn't understand I didn't really talk about it so felt isolated and alone with it all.

After my own experiences I decided to train as a menopausal coach and combine this with my passion for pilates as I don't feel there's enough help for midlife women such as myself. I feel so passionate about helping women thrive in midlife and not just be in state of surviving - it really doesn't need to be like this!

Midlife can be the start of new beginnings and the time to focus on you and live your best life.
